Putting represents nearly half of all the strokes you take during a round of golf. So it's not surprising to find players looking to sharpen their putting skills whenever they can or trying tips things to be successful. The better putter you are, the lower your golf handicap, as I tell golfers who take my golf lesions.

Because of its bearing on your golf handicap, putting has caused more inventiveness in search of perfection than anything in the game. players have all sorts of styles and movements, all unique to the individual. Despite these innovative efforts, one thing remains true: there's no substitute for a sound putting stroke.

Below we describe the putting technique of two professional golfers-Isao Aoki and Nick price. They've adopted different putting styles, yet both are considered excellent putters.

The Setup
Japan's Isao Aoki posses a superb putting stroke locked into a strange and individual style. Nevertheless, he is renowned putter. In fact, putting is probably the best part of his game. Aoki addresses the ball with the top of his putter high in the air. His hands are low and he crouches over significantly.

Nick Price' style, on the other hand, is more classic. His technique is based on a locked left wrist and a shoulder-dominated stroke. At address, he keeps his shoulders square to the intended line, and his hands over or just ahead of the ball. He crouches slightly over the ball, but not nearly as much as Aoki.

Despite the differences in style, both players do one thing all great putters do at address-they keep their eyes directly over the ball. It's the most important ingredient in the setup, irrespective of a person's height, build, or style. Keeping you're eyes directly over the ball and turning your head allows a direct view down the line to the hole, without any need to move the shoulders out of alignment.

The Stroke
Aoki is a touch putter, so he uses his hands more than his shoulders, and takes the club back steeply, with the right hand controlling the takeaway. At the top of the backswing, his putter is high off the ground-an unusual position for a good putter. Nevertheless, it works well for Aoki. His stroke is smooth and rhythmical.

Price's technique is based on a shoulder-dominated stroke. His arms, shoulders, and putter move away from the ball as a single unit, with the hands remaining passive. He keeps his wrist firm during the stroke. And he strikes on the upstroke. price uses more of a pendulum motion than Aoki, swinging the putter smoothly and rhythmically back and forth.

Making a smooth, flowing stroke is not a problem for most players, witness the golfers who take golf lessons from me. Many have nice fluid strokes. The problem arises when a ball is introduced. The ball for whatever reason hampers the putt. A good drill to help eliminate this problem is to start by taking a normal practice stroke. Then address the ball, close your eyes, and repeat the stroke-letting the ball get in the way. The drill makes the real stroke more like the practice one.

The Follow-Through
During the follow-through, Aoki brings the head of the putter back into a square position at impact. His head remains perfectly still throughout the stroke. Aoki remains virtually motionless afterwards, careful that the slightest movement doesn't affect his putt. His head stays still except to follow the ball well after the stroke.

price keeps his left wrist locked in position through the hitting zone and into the follow- through. He accelerates the putter-head through impact and makes sure his follow- through is as long as his backswing. He, too, keeps his head as steady as possible through the stroke. And he keeps his eyes fixed on the spot where the ball was well after the stroke.

Despite their different styles, both players remain practically motionless after the putt is made. It is imperative to making a good putt. Lifting your head too soon when putting can throw off your putt. The Show Me The Money Drill we covered in last week's golf tips is great for this flaw.

The Show Me the Money drill works for three reasons. It forces you to keep your eyes steady, helping to stabilize your whole body. It prevents you from lifting out of your stance prematurely. And because you're focused on the coin and not the ball, it inclines you to make a nice clean stroke through the ball.

Conclusion
If you want to lower your golf handicap, you need to improve your putting. Nearly half of the strokes made during a full round of golf are putts. Cutting down on your putts will lower your scores and golf handicap. Of course, not everyone will have the same putting style. But one thing remains true: there's no substitute for a sound putting stroke-irrespective of how it looks.

Nowhere is the cultural difference more evident between US and Europe then in the field of entertainment. Typically US shys away from obvious descriptions of sexuality while having a tolerance level for violence in entertainment. While in Europe it is just the opposite, the ban hammer is dropped on violence and sensuality flows freely. This article depicts these differences in the rating system with the US and Europe with the rating given to the Xbox 360 game Mass Effect.

The latest example of this division is seen in two ratings of the forthcoming xbox 360 role-playing game Mass Effect. In the US, the Entertainment software Ratings Board or ESRB gave the game a M for Mature rating for "Blood, Language, Partial Nudity, Sexual Themes, [and] violence" this means no one under 17 should buy or rent the game without parent approval.

While the British Board of Film Classification BBFC known in the news for its recently banned manhunt 2 explained that American reason for the M rating comes from a single sequence depicting a risque encounter.

"The single sex scene is brief and un-detailed, although there is breast nudity in one version of the scene,". "The sex scene is triggered by the player making a series of choices about becoming more than friends with a colleague. If playing as a male character the scene can take place between him and a human woman or a humanoid female alien. If playing as a female character the scene can take place between her and a male human or a female humanoid alien."

The mention of extraterrestrial bisexuals raises the eyes of an outer space version of the "hot coffee" scandal from Grand Theft Auto: san Andreas two years ago which by providing a code in the game you unlock a mini sex game. However, any controversy will likely be waved by the fact that the BBFC gave Mass Effect a "12" rating basically saying it is okay for preteens to be able to play the game unsupervised.

Mass Effect isn't the first BioWare game to involve bisexual characters. The PC and xbox title Jade Empire had several non-graphic cross-gender love subplots,"including one storyline which leads to an implied three-way liaison between a male hero and two non-player characters, Silk Fox and Dawn star". Depending on the choice of being a male or female character can also "lead to some same-sex crushes in the star Wars: Knights of the old Republic games".

The Europe and US rating comparison is interesting to me because Europe easily bans games such as manhunt 2 for its violence but will slap a soft rating on games with strong sexual content in them such as Mass Effect. You decide is this just?

The second to last book in the Chronicles of narnia takes Eustace, known to readers of "The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" and his classmate Jill on a perilous quest. Prince Rilian, the son of king Caspian, has been missing for years and must be found before the king dies.

As most of the books in the narnia series, this one also begins and ends in the prosaic world of England, more specifically in a "progressive" school (that the narrator openly derides) attended by Eustace. Eustace has definitely improved after his adventures in narnia, and while he helps his schoolmate Jill escape from a gang of bullies, the two of them suddenly discover a door that leads into narnia. The boy and the girl soon become separated, and Jill has to overcome her fears when she encounters a lion, who of course turns out to be Aslan. Aslan sends them to search for Prince Rilian, the only son of the now aged Caspian (as we know from previous books, time flows at a different rate in Narnia) and gives Jill certain instructions and clues, which she unfortunately will not always remember.

During their journey, the two are accompanied by another of Lewis memorable and odd characters, Puddleglum the Marshwiggle, who despite his innate pessimism turns out to be a true friend. They encounter the mysterious Lady of the green Kirtle who directs them to the City of Giants. Let it just be mentioned that they are supposed to play a rather peculiar role at a great feast there

In the last chapters of this heavily allegorical book, the protagonists descend into an underworld, meet Prince Rilian who has been obviously bewitched and have to overcome the danger of materialism when they are pressured to deny the existence of Aslan and the overworld. only then can they reascend into narnia.

The silver Chair is not one of the best books in the Chronicles of narnia. Readers of the other volumes will find certain events rather predictable. Eustace and Jill never become the rounded characters that Peter, Edmund, Susan and Lucy were. only the strange Marshwiggle shows some of Lewis old creativity in creating odd and memorable creatures.
